In Process: Improv Wedding Ring Quilt

I go to thrift stores a lot. And I buy alot of fabric. But it’s really rare to find an unfinished project.

I thought that the pieces were for a wedding ring quilt because they were bundled with the templates. However, the shapes were the same, but they were not the correct shape. The orange peel part was too squished and there was a whole other part that I had no idea what it was going to be used for. I realized that these weren’t going to go together easy but I figured I’d do it anyway.

That’s how it became an improv quilt. I googles and looked on pinterest for a improv wedding ring and honestly could not find one. I’m not saying I’m not saying I’m the first adventurous quilter to try one, I’m just saying I couldn’t find an example of one.

And that’s the top. I have since sandwiched and wasted and begin hand quilting but abandoned it for other ideas. I’ll update when I have it all done. :)
