Wild Card Sampler Sew-Along

Spring 2025

The Wild Card Sampler is for quilters who are tired of rigid patterns, drained by decision fatigue, or craving a deeper connection to their creative instincts. It’s a no-rules, process-first sew-along guided by the Quilter’s Inspiration Deck—a tool I created to help myself (and now you) get out of your head and back into your body.

Each week, we’ll draw cards from the deck—random prompts that guide elements of your next quilt block. Paired with a reflective journal prompt, the challenge is as much about listening to your intuition as it is about choosing fabric.

We will do this for 10 weeks, creating 9 blocks for your quilt top.

You won’t know exactly what you’re making—and that’s the magic.

🔮 Shuffle the Deck

Each week, I’ll draw cards from different categories—color, layout, block style, quilting pattern, and more—and share them with the group to spark your next creative challenge.

📝 Journal the Prompt

Alongside the card pull, you’ll receive a journaling prompt to help you reflect before you begin. Take a few minutes to write about what’s coming up for you, what you're hoping to explore, or how you want to feel as you create. Let the writing ground you in your intention.

🎨 Make It Your Own

Use the cards and your reflections to interpret the prompt in your own unique style. There’s no one right way—just your way.

🤝 Sew Together

Share your progress and finished blocks with the group! See how others are interpreting the same prompts in totally different ways. Use the hashtag #wildcardsamplersewalong on Instagram and YouTube so we can all follow along.
